Lessons from the Lord's Prayer - Part 4

This week we will be considering this phrase in the Lord’s Prayer—“give us today our daily bread”. There is a clear order in the Lord’s Prayer. It begins by focusing on God and his glory. Only then does it move to us and what we need. This is important because we must first recognize who God is before we begin making requests of Him. Also remember that as we learn to pray more effectively our hearts are changed so that we become more like Christ. Ask God to change your heart this week as you study and reflect on the prayer Jesus taught His disciples to pray.
