Christmas Joy

      One of the major themes of the Christmas story is joy. After Mary receives the news that she will be the Mother of God’s Messiah this is how she responds: “And Mary said, ‘My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me, holy is his name.’” (Luke 1:46-49 NIV) Mary looks back at her life and says that God has done great things for her. What great things has God done for you that should be a source of joy in your life?
